- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Perform noon duty during lunch and after school
- Relieve other auxiliary staff when necessary
- Assist campus administration with use and/or maintenance of office equipment
- Dispense supplies to the staff, distribute mail, faxes, and items from parent to students
- Substitute for classrooms that are lacking a teacher until relief arrives
- Supervise students as requested by campus administration
- Direct students to the correct classrooms and keep hallways cleared
- Escort students as necessary to their classroom or the administration office when students arrive late or are wandering in the halls after the late bell has run. Checks to ensure all students have a hall pass
- Assist administration in removing students that are disrupting the class and escorts such students to the administration office for corrective action
- Verify the authenticity of hall pass in possession of students in the hall after the second bell has rung. If in doubt of authenticity of pass, escorts student to the administration office where administrators will take appropriate action
- Maintain communication via portable radios with the administration office
- Inspect restrooms to ensure students are not loitering or damaging facilities. (Teacher assistance will be requested of person of the opposite sex restroom inspections.)
- Report all damage or writing on the walls to the administration office
- Make a call for an administrator if a student is caught damaging the restroom facilities. Escort students to the administrative office for action
- Assist with monitoring the arrival and departure of school buses to ensure that students arrive and depart safely
- Monitor the hallways
- Take appropriate action to defuse any actions taken by students to initiate a confrontation
- Maintains daily log of students in hallways without proper authorization
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on department needs
- Must complete designated district technology proficiencies each year
- Requires a basic knowledge of technology/computer skills
- Ability to use personal computer to access district programs, emails, and other resources
- Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance
- Ensure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of Ethics
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervision and evaluation of District personnel is not a requirement of the position; however, the supervision of students is required.Equipment Used:
- Office equipment - personal computer, printer, calculator, multi-line telephone, software programs and peripherals, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position
- Communication equipment - radio communication equipment, cellular telephone

Environmental Factors:
- Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise, low or intense illumination, vibration
