The Schools serve over 2,600 students in one high school, one alternative high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools, employing approximately 170 teachers and 200 other employees to meet the needs of our students. We encompass over 110 square miles of rural, suburban, and small town geography including the villages of Vicksburg and Fulton, and of eight townships. The District boasts fourteen lakes, which creates a unique style of suburban living. Our residents enjoy all the advantages of a small town with a major metropolitan area just a few miles north. The school district takes pride in being a high achieving district. This position is not employment with Vicksburg Community Schools. It is employment with our third-party employer. The position would work in the Vicksburg Community Schools through employment with Edustaff. POSITION: Vicksburg High School Hall Monitor HOURS: Student Attendance Days, 7:20 am - 2:45 pm, Includes 30 minute unpaid lunch PAY: $12 per hour START DATE: ASAP QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school graduate
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, students and parents
  • Effective communication skills, decision making and ability to maintain resolve
REPORTS TO: Building Principal RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in student supervision
  • Monitor students in hallways, cafeteria, parking lot and high student traffic areas throughout the school day
  • Monitor the arrival and departure of school buses/parent drop-off to ensure students arrive and depart safely
  • Inspect exterior doors regularly to ensure the safety and security of the building
  • Inspect bathrooms, locker rooms and other areas of the building regularly
  • Report damage, graffiti, safety concerns to building administration
  • Monitor students during class changes
  • Escort students back to class that do not have proper permission to be in the hallways
  • Assist with office tasks as needed
