Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Handyman with at least 3 years of experience in industrial construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various maintenance and repair tasks, with specific experience in industrial settings. The Handyman will handle day-to-day maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:- Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as needed.
- Repair and replace industrial fixtures, including doors, windows, and basic mechanical components.
Industrial-Specific Repairs:- Assist in maintaining structural components of our client's facility, including walls, roofs, and flooring.
- Work with heavy-duty materials such as metal and concrete for small construction and repair projects.
Preventive Maintenance:- Inspect and maintain industrial equipment to reduce downtime and avoid costly repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, and machinery.
- Identify potential issues early and make necessary repairs or recommend contractor services when needed.
Safety & Compliance:- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, particularly in industrial environments.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure that all repairs meet required safety standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, with special attention to safety hazards.
Coordination & Communication:- Work closely with team coordinator and other team members to prioritize repair and maintenance tasks.
Small-Scale Construction Projects:- Assist in small construction and remodeling projects.
- Erect shelving, partitions, and other industrial-grade structures.
- Lay concrete, patch floors, and install drywall or other materials as needed.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance:- Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to management for replacement or repair.
8. Language Skills:
- Must demonstrate intermediate level in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken form.
- Able to hold conversations, understand instructions, and interact with colleagues, in both languages.
- Able to assist with basic translations and interpretive tasks in day-to-day operations.
