We are currently seeking a handyman to fill an available full-time position. The purpose of this position is to perform overall building maintenance and repairs. Candidates must be able to work in a hands-on team environment and provide exceptional resident service.
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
- Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of the building, and lighting, heating/air conditioning (HVAC) ventilation, water treatment systems
- Have basic knowledge of HVAC/ plumbing/ electrical and be able to perform troubleshooting.
- Perform painting and plasterwork on the interior and exterior of the building
- Conduct inspections, projects, and maintenance repairs maintain records.
- Ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture
- Preventive maintenance for building systems, rooms, and public spaces.
- Repair as needed; HVAC systems, handy work, plumbing, plastering, etc.
- Attend mandatory meetings and/or training as scheduled.
- Performs any other duties and projects as requested by supervisor.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience as a Handyman or maintenance position in New York.
- Must have a broad base of experience in several areas such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, preventive maintenance, painting/plastering.
- Must have experience of 2+ years in painting and plasterwork.
- Full availability is needed.
