The Terminal Pilotage Ops Div is responsible for providing a professional pilotage service vessel traffic management system and support services at all Saudi Aramco Oil Ports and Terminals for the purpose of expediting the seaborne export and import of crude oils and hydrocarbon-based products in a safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner in accordance with shipping industry's best practices.Your primary role is to berth/unberth all vessels without restriction at North Pier and unberth vessels at Sea Island up to 350,000 DWT without restriction. You are administratively responsible to the Chief Pilot but functionally responsible to the senior Harbor Pilot.Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science from a recognized and approved Maritime Studies College and have 5 years of experience, including at least 4 in Harbor Pilot or seagoing experience.
- Or you will hold a High National Diploma from a recognized and approved Maritime Studies College and have 6 years of experience, including at least 4 in Harbor Pilot or seagoing experience.
- Maritime Studies discipline required for HND & Bachelor graduates.
- Tanker Safety Course-Basic training in Oil/Chem/Gas.
- Helicopter and Underwater Escape Training Course is also necessary. Key Responsibilities
- Make safety inspections of all vessels before berthing or loading.
- Direct deep-loaded vessels to a safe anchorage and line up same for the departure channel upon the ship's Master's request.
- Investigate ship/pier-related oil pollution incidents and prepare reports.
- Maintain a permanent official log of vessels handled.
- Maintain radio communications with vessels in the operating area; advises vessels of ballast condition required, berthing and unberthing time and other information to expedite ship movement.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Senior Harbor Pilot Supervision.
- Direct Pier personnel or mooring launches in the order and sequence of putting out and taking in mooring lines. Job Benefits
- Monthly Base Salary - aligned with company employees with similar skills
- Monthly Overbase - 25% of your monthly base salary
- Benefits Supplement - 20% of your monthly base salary, after 3 years of service, reward increases to 25% of base, after 6 years 30% of base, and after 12 years 35% of base
- Severance Package (2-year vest period) - year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 week's pay for each year after
- Employment Tax - if employee chooses to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay 'home country' income taxes.
- Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service) - maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay with a cap, 20% share discount
- Incentive Plan - annual; based on performance, approx. 1.8x monthly base salary
- Travel Allowance - annual; approx. $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old

- Medical/Dental Plan - complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employee and eligible family members.
- Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) - Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48.5K).
