What Youll Be Doing:

  • Machining & Inspection: Youll be at the heart of our production process, operating equipment to create parts that meet stringent customer specifications. Your attention to detail will ensure each part is precise and flawless through thorough inspections.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Stay organized and keep our processes running smoothly by completing all job or part-related documentation accurately and on time, both on paper and digitally.
  • Mentorship & Training: Share your knowledge! Youll provide on-the-job training to fellow employees, guiding them on product requirements, equipment operation, inspection techniques, and department procedures.
  • Driving Improvement: Your insights matter. Identify opportunities to enhance our manufacturing processeshelping to standardize operations, reduce costs, shorten cycle times, and improve safety.
  • Supporting Initiatives: Collaborate with management and supervision to develop and implement process improvement initiatives that drive our success.
  • Workstation Excellence: Maintain a safe and efficient workspace by keeping your workstation, equipment, and tools clean and organized.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Youll need at least 2 years of machining experience to excel in this role.
  • Technical Skills: A solid understanding of safety practices, strong mathematical skills (geometry and trigonometry), and familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance are essential. Experience with equipment operation techniques and standard measuring techniques is a must. Certified Operator status is recommended.

Physical & Operational Requirements:

  • Physical Activity: Be prepared to be on your feet for your entire shift, performing tasks that include standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Equipment Operation: Regularly operate and adjust equipment to produce products according to specifications, with the ability to interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Communication: Youll need to frequently communicate with coworkers and supervisors regarding product status and issues, both in person and over the phone.
  • Quality Monitoring: Maintain a keen eye on product quality through constant visual and tactile inspections.
  • Safety Gear: Regular use of personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators, will be required.
  • Data Entry: Frequently enter or retrieve data from a computer station, using a keyboard, mouse, bar coding wand, and monitor.
