Job Description:
Of essential job functions - Must be trained in the humane handling of livestock in accordance with the Humane Slaughter Act. - Requires the use of knives and knife sharpening equipment. - Knowledge of hydraulic cutters. - Keep work area clean and tidy during production. - Recondition meat that has touched an unsanitary surface. - Visually inspect hog carcasses and trim off bruised meat and other visual contamination. - Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JS - As). - Monitor Critical Control Points (CCP) as specified in plants Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Plan (HACCP). - Other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities - Provide on-the-job training to new team members. Minimum requirements - Manual dexterity required for performing job. - Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
