Hatchery Laborer - Ellenwood Hatchery (Shift Varies)

Pay Rate: $17.20 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm and 11:59 pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 am-4:59 am)Must be able to work weekends. To receive, prepare, and sort eggs for the purpose of setting a higher quality egg pack to the incubators. Prepare supplies and load backhauls ensuring clean supplies and maximizing backhaul ratio. Maintain accurate inventories ensuring oldest eggs set first. Operate the Automatic Rack Transfer machine in a safe manner while maximizing efficiencies. Clean and disinfect buildings and equipment so that each will pass quality control bacterial level standards. Pull hatcher racks, load chicks onto the separator, grade chicks, operate hatcher basket stackers and palletize serviced chicks. Transfer eggs from incubators through In-Ovo injection equipment to hatchers while minimizing breakage and temperature shock to developing embryos.
