Position SummaryThe Driver will load and unload materials and deliver to, from and within work sites as required. This position requires a commercial driver's license (CDL).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties - The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated.
- This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry.
- The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.
- Operating a haul truck within the company guidelines and safety standards
- Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed.
- Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor.
- Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment.
- Operating other equipment such as pit and yard loaders in a safe manner as needed
- Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications - Must have good communications skills using a two-way radio.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to remain seated in equipment for up to 12 hrs./day Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

- Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to operate equipment safely.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Must keep safety above all else WORKING CONDITIONS Works in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, ice, rain, and high humidity, and is required to work in all plant environments.
Requirements•The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl•Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions•Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required•May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds•Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces•Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment•May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site•Must have required tools•Must have a valid Class A Driver's Licence.•Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required•Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and background checkWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
