- Data entry for the DGDs (Dangerous Goods Declarations) in the MSC system.
- Advises customers of any issues with paperwork.
- Sends the booking confirmations to the shipper when the shipments are approved in the system.
- Communicates with shippers for any IMDG/MSC required paperwork.
- Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
- Generates potential solutions to customer issues.
- Performs other tasks as required by management.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:Required skills, experience, education
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Trained and IMDG certified
- Experience with dangerous goods regulations terminology
- Strong attention to details
- Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
- Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
