Essential Functions
- Comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods.
- Operate machinery to dispose of solid waste, including Shredders and Compactors
- Tag operational trash with proper labels for disposal
- Respond to hazard waste cleanup
- Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks, pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Prepare hazardous material for removal or storage.
- Build containment areas prior to beginning abatement or decontamination work.
- Clean, monitor and provide general maintenance on all instruments and machinery
- Prepare reports and documents, including assisting the RSO with the manifest
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Notify supervisor of any major repairs needed while inspecting, purchase needed supplies
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Able to become involved in other duties as assigned including health physics operations.
You Must Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proven oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and perform cooperatively with others
- Must be detail orientated
- Ability to use computer
