Provides the day-to-day administrative support for operations in the department, program or local office setting. Assures accuracy of fiscal operations, records management, and supports routine administrative functions in the workplace setting. Orients new personnel and provides training updates in new procedures. Under the direction or in the absence of the Administrative Assistant V, assumes responsibility for site management functions and collaborates with other professionals at the worksite to coordinate services delivery to implement agency procedures. May supervise status administrative staff and related work activities in an office. Note: The assigned functional areas of the position include general administration, office management, and/or client management.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Employment Standards

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
- Valid driver's license
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - CPR (Required within 60 days)
- AED (Required within 60 days)
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, child protective services check, sanction screenings, driving record check, and tuberculosis test to the satisfaction of the employer. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least three years of experience providing administrative support in a high-volume health clinic or medical health care setting providing comprehensive support and handling various office duties.
- At least two of more years of supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
- At least two years of front-line customer services experience with excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a friendly, service-oriented, and professional manner with internal and external customers.
- At least two years of experience working with electronic health records system.
- Experience with third-party billing processes, including managing and processing payments, handing discrepancies and coordinating with external vendors.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment, be proactive, exercise good judgment, and use critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized, demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job is generally sedentary in nature, and requires walking, standing, sitting (for long periods of time), and kneeling, reaching, bending, climbing stairs; may be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs. as required for the position. Uses hands to grasp, handle, or feel. Visual acuity is required to read data on a computer monitor; ability to operate keyboard driven equipment and computer and use of touchscreen; Position frequently communicates and must be able to exchange accurate information with others verbally and in writing. Generally, works in an office environment yet may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting. Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
