Job Description:

Long Island University (LIU), a NCAA Division I institution, is seeking applications for the vacant position of Head Men's Volleyball Coach. The successful candidate is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division I men's volleyball program. Must be committed to and manage the program within the guidelines of the NCAA, NEC and Long Island University (LIU) Department of Intercollegiate Athletic policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Demonstrate the ability to successfully recruit, manage, and support student- athlete competitive and academic success.

* Bring visibility, community, and marketing opportunities to the Long Island University Men's Volleyball program.

* Successful management of the program budget, fundraising goals, and student- athlete alumni base.

* Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the LIU Athletic Department and University as well as the rules and regulations of the NEC and the NCAA.

* Oversee the recruitment process. Ensure full compliance with NCAA guidelines in all aspects of the recruiting process.

* Provide support and instruction in the personal and athletic development of the team.

* Schedule and conduct regular practice sessions within both traditional and non- traditional seasons as permitted by NCAA rules and regulations.

* Develop and implement strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team.

* Schedule use of facilities for practice and contests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree required

* Minimum of 3-5 years of full-time prior experience at the Division I level.

* Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

* Possess a valid driver's license.

* Required to travel and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
