Position Overview
Hanover Central High School is looking for a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Head Football Coach to lead the varsity football program. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated leader with the ability to develop players both on and off the field, promote team values, and build a strong football program within the context of a competitive high school environment. The Head Coach will be responsible for the overall management of the football program, including coaching, planning, and coordinating practices, game strategies, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Team Development: Lead and motivate student-athletes to perform to their highest potential both on the field and in the classroom.
* Coaching and Game Preparation: Plan and conduct daily practice sessions, develop strategies, and oversee game preparation, including team tactics, playbooks, and game-day execution.
* Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the football program, including the development of the middle school program and coordination with all program coaches.
* Player Development: Identify and nurture individual talents, focusing on improving athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, and character.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the athletic director, school administration, and other coaches to align football program goals with school and district objectives.
* Communication: Foster strong relationships with players, parents, school faculty, and the community, keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged with the program.
* Compliance: Ensure that the football program operates in compliance with all state regulations, the IHSAA (Indiana High School Athletic Association), and school policies.

Qualifications
* Football Knowledge: Strong understanding of the fundamentals of football, including coaching strategies, game analysis, and player development.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of athletes.
* Education: A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is preferred. Teaching certification is a plus but not required.
* Commitment: Ability to commit to the demands of a full season, including after-school practices, games, and related events.
Compensation
$9,084 per year
