: Job Details :

Qualifications:

• Current Alabama Teacher's Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position.
• Previous experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required.
• Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches' Education Program.

Job Goals :

• Establish performances criteria for competition and manage athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
• Instruct athletes in fundamentals, develop character, model expected behavior.
• Ability to work with players, parents, administration and other coaches.
• Ensures that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director.
• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinics for his/her sports.
