Head Groundskeeper - Trenton Thunder (Trenton•NJ)The Trenton Thunder of the MLB Draft League are looking for a self-driven, competitive, hard-working individual as the full-time Head Groundskeeper.The Trenton Thunder are located in Central New Jersey.JOB REQUIREMENTS: •Maintain the playing surface as well as corresponding facilities - Grounds workshop, hitting tunnel, bullpens, etc•Hire, train and staff Grounds Crew throughout season•Hire and train a seasonal Assistant Groundskeeper•Accountable for department budget to be co-created with President and GM•Service accounts and partners related to grounds-keeping, including those involving field maintenance equipment•Ability to self-service equipment including mowers, sprayers, irrigation system and other field equipment•Assist Operations department with off-season stadium projects including: storing rail & wall padding, screens & netting, painting and other stadium operations duties designed to winterize the ballpark effectively.•Also assist Operations Department and landscaping company to maintain the grounds outside the stadium walls on Trenton Thunder Ballpark property.•Prepare field for all Thunder home games:•Set-up for early work, home and visiting team practice•Pre-game field preparations•In-game field maintenance•Post-Game field preparations for following day•New playing field planned following the 2025 season•Assist consultant with any help needed during process of new field•Head Groundskeeper must work well with Field Staff and front office staff•Work additional off-season & non-gameday events (ex. High School games, Showcases, Marathon, etc...)•Be a team player and an active part of the Front Office Staff•Other duties as assignedEXPERIENCE: 1-3 years turf management. Baseball experience (dirt) is mandatory. Head Groundskeeper experience is preferred. Degree in Turf Management or similar is also preferred.
