Job Description:

Looking for a Head Housekeeper.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a minimum of 2 years housekeeping experience
  • Housekeeping management required

Expectations:

  • Must have a weekend, weekday, and holiday availability
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
  • Must be able to be on your feet for more than 6-7 hours at a time
  • Must communicate efficiently with General Manager and Assistant Executive Housekeeper
  • Must work well with fellow team members and department heads
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee housekeeping department, laundry department, and public areas attendants
  • Manage staff of 12 or more employees
  • Complete schedule based on daily & weekly occupancy
  • Communicate with the front desk first thing and regularly throughout the day to accommodate all guests and room requests
  • Hold daily/weekly morning huddles with the back of house departments
  • Create housekeeping boards and properly assign rooms, while being sure all special requests are met ahead of guest arrival
  • Inspect all rooms daily prior to housekeepers departing the property
  • Follow Hampton Inn Brand Standards for Clean Stay guidelines, in-room collateral, trainings, guest room updates, and room cleanliness scores
  • Monitor inventory of linen, toiletries, guest room amenities, and lost & found items
  • Balance monthly budget costs for in-room guest supplies, linens, and cleaning supplies; submit order monthly and follow a monthly budget
  • Train in all back of house departments to ensure coverage when needed
  • Work directly with housekeeping, laundry, public areas, and maintenance daily
  • Routinely organize & maintain linen and housekeeping closets on all floors
  • Communicate weekly with the sales team and front desk to ensure all needs are met for group arrivals, heavy weekend arrivals, and special in-room amenities
  • Staff & forecast accordingly based on events & groups in-house
  • Work hand-in-hand with staff on a daily basis to ensure all areas are running smoothly, stepping in whenever need be
  • Must organize housekeeping paperwork, request offs, group and event resumes given from sales, and front desk requests that are passed down on a daily basis
