Job Title: Head Men's Lacrosse Coach; Intramurals Assistant and Equipment Room
Department: Athletics
Reports to: Director of Athletics
Job Summary:
The Head Men's Lacrosse Coach is primarily responsible for coaching and recruiting for the men's lacrosse program, and a secondary athletic duty to be assigned but could include the following: intramurals, event management, strength and conditioning and equipment room. This position requires excellent role modeling, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises assistant coaches, student labor, and event management staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the men's lacrosse program
Establishes overall goals for the program, organizes practices, and is responsible for game management
Recruits and attends Admissions events
Serves as a role model for STUDENT-athletes
Complies with campus, Department, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
Manages program budget
Serves as intramural assistant
Works in equipment room
Other duties to be assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven ability to relate to STUDENT-athletes, academic community, student body, off-campus constituents, professional colleagues, and the general public.
Highly effective recruiting strategies and skills along with proven administrative and organizational abilities.
Ability to use software and standard office equipment
Valid driver's license required.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree and collegiate level coaching preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Use of general office equipment in an office setting. Requires an equal amount of standing, sitting, Walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing multiple levels of stairs, light lifting, near vision, and manual dexterity to perform essential job functions. Requires ability to travel between buildings with exposure to inclement weather conditions.
