Our vision for Haiti: joyful children, healthy families, thriving communities, and the resources to make it so.Role Purpose:Under the supervision of the Healthcare Program Manager, the Head Nurse will work closely with the Healthcare Program and the Medical Director in supporting operations, logistics, and programmatic needs. The Head Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the clinic provides effective, efficient, and quality healthcare to our patients. Responsibilities include supervision and scheduling of all nurses, providing patient care, and reporting.This is a National position based full-time in Les Cayes, Haiti.Essential Duties and TasksProvide supervision to all nursesAssign and communicate nurse workstations weekly and ensure nursing staff adhere to hours of operationsShare professional development plans for all nurses each fiscal year by identifying opportunities and sharing them with the Human Resources departmentParticipate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new nurses and internsShare and enforce Hope for Haiti policies and proceduresAttend bi-monthly Senior Healthcare Leadership meetings.Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to discuss updates, address issues, and promote an efficient and collaborative working environment.Provide care to patients at the clinicEnsure that nursing care meets regulatory standards by MSPP and ensure nurses are providing the best careAttend local and regional MSPP and healthcare partners events, trainings, meetings, and other Healthcare Events on behalf of HFHEvaluate nursing staff performance by coordinating all staff meetings and individual check-ins as needed, as well as completing annual performance reviewsManage budget lines related to programmatic activities to ensure cost-effective use of resources and submit monthly Purchase Order (PO) requestsAssist the medical team in tracking inventory of medications and medical supplies in our EMR system, and assist in the procurement process as detailed in Hope for Haiti's Procurement PolicyThink strategically about current and new patient care programs and work with the leadership team to make suggestions on how to improve our programs and processesSubmit weekly and monthly reports on the key performance indicators.Provide donor-specific content as needed for donor reporting and provide content for grant proposals.Provide written and spoken translation for reports, mailings, and trips as neededAssist with volunteer medical teams, donors, and on-site visits at the clinic in coordination with the Operation Department.Ensure that high standards of patient care are maintained.
