Siemens Energy are looking for a qualified Head of Accouting to be part of the Regional Accounting - Europe team!
Snapshot of your day
As Head of Accounting you will be required to collaborate with our extensive network of businesses throughout Norway, Auditors, Head Quarters, and other teams within Regional Accounting family both in Europe and world wide, but also with people throughout the organization and hierarchies!
As the HoA you will need to be able to take the lead in local accounting topics and provide day-to-day support to the local CEO/CFO in the region. You will have several years of experience and strong leadership skills.
How will you do it?
* As Head of Accounting for Norway you will oversee the day-to-day and closing accounting processes to be able to sign off the quarterly certification. Co-ordinating work from service providers and remote teams.
* Ensure locally that central (SE policies and FRGs) and local accounting (HBI) governance, policies and processes are appropriate and followed
* Lead the initiative to simplify and harmonize processes within regional accounting in order to find the best cost solution necessary to ensure compliant, effective support for the businesses, CEO and CFO
* Support locally to ensure accurate and timely closing, including working closely with financial statements & closing, regional business partner, shared service provider and auditor teams to achieve this.
* Local support for shareholder controlling in projects and ensuring local requirements are followed to pay dividends to parent company which are compliant with local GAAP and regulations
* Proactive business partner for regional/country CFO's + Country BA FIN's.
* GO TO person/lead for local books and records besides ensuring quality through regular monitoring and review.
* Maintain, manage and introduce where necessary adequate internal controls.
* Developing and coaching team members/direct reports while working to develop one Europe1 approach and team feel across Local Execution.
What you bring
* Higher relevant education within accounting or relevant.
* Qualified as ACA, CIMA, ACCA CPA or certified accountant or equivalent.
* Experience from similar role.
* Strong IT skills and able to support digital solutions.
* Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral. Other languages are an advantage.
* Strong technical accounting and analytical expertise.
