Akila is looking for a Head of Akila USA, well versed in B2B Saas and the energy efficiency/ Building Management sector, to work with ambition, creativity, and a passion to transform and implement sustainability into the built environment. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-moving global startup environment where speed, hard work, and fresh thinking are critical to success.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Lead Akila USA with full P&L responsibility, driving overall business growth through strategic planning and execution
- Develop growth strategies with the executive team to scale revenues and bring success in delivering rapid revenue growth
- Define and implement ideal team structure to support local business
- Execute the regional Go To Market strategy in alignment with the CRO and group GTM objectives.
- Maintain existing account relationships and look for up sale opportunities
- Develop a strong local ecosystem of Technical, Business, Academia partners.
- Drive USA revenue according to the local new ARR target by defining a clear account-based action planned according to the agreed GTM
- Monitor Sales KPIs (leads/ week, conversion rate, avg deal size,…) to keep USA on track to achieve its plan
- Manage software subscription contracts (SaaS Model) in place and help to continuously increase customers ‘s value, extending the scope
- Understand customer requirements and provide regular feedback to solution team
- Report efficiently to the company's financial agenda in order to ensure transparency on the regional cash flow, cost allocation, margins, organization development,..
- Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of a high-integrity winning team, optimizing customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and employee engagement
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications :
- More than 10 years in the Building Management, Sustainability or Energy Efficiency space – of which at least 6 years in a sales or sales management role for B2B Saas solutions. A previous experience in selling a mix of software and hardware is a plus.
- A strong plus to individuals that understand well the drivers around the built environment and who have an existing network of Real estate managers or occupiers with a large number of assets.
- Strong sales skills, ability to build & deliver compelling value proposals and sales pitch. (will be evaluated during the interview process)

- Master Degree in Science or Engineering
- Good interpersonal skills, with people management experience
- Willingness to travel
