The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees.Job DescriptionThe Head of Commercial Affairs is a strong leadership role that provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization. They supervise the finance unit and are the financial spokesperson for the organization. The Head of Commercial Affairs reports directly to the Global VP Finance and Controlling in Germany and is the financial pendant to the President of our Peachtree plant, consulting and leading.
  • Direct report to the Global VP Finance and Controlling Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH in terms of the functional / specialist affairs and conditions of the business of Commercial Affairs (disciplinary guidance);
  • Report to the Chief Executive Officer/President in terms of the general affairs and conditions of Commercial Affairs (functional guidance);
  • Direct the company's financial operations and controlling.
  • Manage financial planning with regard to tax, consolidation and benefits administration.
  • Manage the annual budget planning and define with (i) Vice President/Production and (ii) Vice President of Technology (including approval by Director TCC Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH) the allocation of costs. Divergent allocation shall be approved by the person in charge of the respective cost center.
  • Render financial and commercial services to Production and TCC.
  • Manage monthly financial consolidation to coordinate timely reporting to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated financial statements for public accounting audit reports and ensure that all accounting policies are in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of reports for annual budget planning, periodic forecasts and the daily general ledger accounting for the analysis and interpretation of operating results.
  • Manage benchmarking and auditing of financial statements;
  • Manage planning/reporting systems;
  • Manage the maintenance of professional service relationships with banks, tax consultants and public auditors.
  • Manage and supervise internal controllers, accountants and financial professionals.
  • Serve as finance and accounting liaison with parent and affiliate companies.
  • Perform the duties and exercise the powers delegated to him by the Global VP Finance and Controlling as well as the plant's President.Qualifications
    • B.A. in Finance or Accounting.
    • Master's degree (preferred) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
    • 5+ years of management and leadership experience with increasing responsibility in the areas of Finance and Accounting in either a pharmaceutical, medical or food regulated industry.
    • Financial and Accounting management experience in an international group/market.
    • Proven experience in the following disciplines: Manufacturing processes, Financial reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting and Warehouse operations.
    • Proven experience with financial software and ERP systems, contract law and purchasing tools.
    • Strong knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (SAP FICO).
    • Strong leadership skills in combination with the ability to work cross-culturally in an international environment.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10%).
