Aon is seeking a Head of Corporate Planning & Analytics. The Head of Corporate Planning & Analytics will play a pivotal role in leading Aon's Planning and Analytics, contributing to the overall success and strategic direction of the organization. This role will collaborate closely with various teams across the function and with the business. We are a high performing team that meets in person to build relationships with stakeholders, learn, teach and collaborate. This role is based in New York and given flexibility to work remotely.

What the day will look like

The Head of Corporate Planning & Analytics will require leadership in the following distinct capabilities:

  • Develop and implement the corporate planning strategy to ensure the alignment of business objectives with long-term goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development of the organization's strategic and operating plans ensuring they are robust and aligned with the company's vision and mission.
  • Oversee the Chief Financial Officers for Corporate Functions and Aon Business Services (including Aon Technology).
  • Contribute to the evolution of the global finance function at Aon, as we strive for world-class excellence, including profitability measurement, metrics, reporting and processes.
  • Lead the annual goal setting process for Management Business Review.
  • Oversee and coordinate the annual budgeting process, working closely with finance teams to ensure accurate financial planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement performance measurement frameworks, supervising critical metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead, attract, and retain our teams, assist in the progression of their role, and drive engagement across the team.
  • Be on point for communication between the CFO and Board of Directors, Aon Executive Committee and ELT.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that may impact the organization's strategic direction and allow us to build sustainable frameworks.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and best practice.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Excellent analytical, financial and business management skills with deep understanding of P&L management.
  • Consistent track record of high performance, financial, strategic and operational leadership, Extensive functional experience in corporate planning, strategy and operations is a plus.
  • Driving successful strategic initiatives, identifying opportunities and driving change through creativity, relationship building and focused execution.
  • Deep understanding of finance data flow and tools.
  • Track record of financial outperformance through revenue growth, expense management and planning optimized investment portfolio.
  • Executive presence and influencing skills; ability to communicate and break down sophisticated ideas into understandable and actionable measures.
  • 10+ years proven experience in a corporate planning, strategy or related roles.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $350,000 - $420,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
