Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Designer to join our team as our first design hire. In this IC (Individual Contributor) role, you will be responsible for owning entire workstreams and driving the design vision for our AI-driven products and solutions. Your expertise will be critical in shaping products that transform the way we work. *This is an on-site (hybrid) position*What you'll do:
- Drive collaborative brainstorming sessions with the rest of the team to discover and develop novel, effective UX solutions in rapid iteration cycles.
- Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.
- Be a strong design advocate across the entire Contextual team and a bar raiser for quality of work.
- Create, contribute, and adopt design systems and guidelines to promote a unified design language across products and platforms.
- Manage all design projects from conception to delivery, including stakeholder feedback and iteration cycles.
- Design high-impact visual content for various media, including digital, print, and social media.
- Own marketing brand design work, ensuring a high level of taste and sophistication in all design outputs.
What we're seeking:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing digital products.
- Strong aptitude in design, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the user-centered design process.
- Deep knowledge and experience working in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven ability to work independently and own entire workstreams.
- Experience designing from the ground up and creating marketing and branding materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Nice to have: Experience designing for AI/ML products and tools.
Location: Mountain View, CA Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $100,000 - $250,000 + equity + benefits (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
