Join our team as we help shape the future.Overview of the role: The leader in this role will be a key member of Hartford Funds' Senior Leadership team and will be responsible for all external and internal sales teams.Responsibilities:Develop and execute the firm's distribution strategies across multiple channels (wirehouse, independents, wealth management, RIA and DCIO) to drive net positive sales and profitable growthAggressively leverage data and analytics to drive business resultsHeavily involved in product development and launchBuild extensive external relationships across current and future client firmsPartner with subadvisors to provide comprehensive investment support for the sales processPartner closely with the marketing and product organizations to implement firm-wide and channel specific sales plansEducate and inform sales staff on the economics of the businessStay current on capital markets and industry trendsMotivate and maintain the highest standards of organizational discipline and professionalism with regards to sales and service deliveryQualifications:A bachelor's degree (or equivalent on-the-job experience)Minimum of fifteen years of financial services industry experiencePrior experience leading sales teams or a sales organizationDemonstrated abilities in coaching a sales organization and accomplishment of goals with a mutual fund firmOutstanding energy, focus, and drive to achieve resultsProven results and demonstrated sustainable achievement in a financial sales environmentCapacity to build and manage relationships across entire organization and with our partner firmsSets high standards for self and others and excellent interpersonal skillsA confident public speakerResourcefulness and superior problem-solving skillsIn-depth product knowledge and investment acumenSolid performance management skillsPossess a keen awareness of the industry as a whole: the competition, market dynamics, industry trends, customer needs and complianceManage expense budgets across multiple divisionsSeries 24 required (must obtain within 90 days)Series 3 required (or obtained within a reasonable timeframe)Expectations of all Senior Leaders:Consistently model the HF leadership expectations:Break down silosBe a talent developerBe a culture carrierBase all decisions and interactions on the Hartford Funds' valued behaviorsAct like an ownerBe Human-centricFocus on the possibilitiesChallenge the status quoDemonstrate positive collaboration and partnership with each other and across your teamsCompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
