Job Description:

We have an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic Head of Finance, to join our rapidly growing team. This pivotal role will drive financial strategy and innovation across our expanding operations in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing all the different functions that report into Finance.
  • Effectively managing and motivating the USA-based Finance team, ensuring that they are being developed, have direction, and are provided with meaningful feedback.
  • Managing daily cashflow including all appropriate treasury controls
  • Identifies risk easily and finds ways to mitigate it before it reaches crisis levels. When crises are unavoidable, they work with various departments to contain and control them, including compliance, IT, Security and HR.
  • To build and maintain excellent working relationships with other department Heads, ensuring the provision of a positive and professional service that enables the progression of the financial strategy.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial and Controlling team to ensure data and information is fed through to Head Office in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To ensure the effective development, implementation and evaluation of finance policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent and compliant application.
  • Ensure supplier payments are made and tracked, customer invoices are managed, and all financial processes are tracked and recorded.
  • Forward, strategic thinking leader always looking to exceed targets and expectations whilst maintaining the collectiveness of the team and culture of DO & CO
  • Maintaining good working relationships with all DO & CO family members as well as our partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Managing all tax affairs, liaising with HMRC and external agencies where necessary including auditors
  • Ensuring the monthly processing and payment of payroll in accordance with DO & CO policies, tax authorities and timetable.
  • Financial management as well as precise and accurate reporting to the Executive Team and Head Office

Qualifications:

  • Role model ability, leading a large team, ready to roll up your sleeves and do what is needed to give our partners the best service with a problem-solving mentality.
  • Should demonstrate strong evidence of working in a financial leadership role.
  • Use your financial expertise and analytic thinking to accurately evaluate a company s financial health.
  • Have a creative mindset that helps them develop innovative solutions to capital structure and budgeting limitations.
  • Well, presented, professional individual with a can-do, positive attitude that indulges in team success
  • The ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO, identifying key impact areas and priorities and supporting change programs and strategies.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data driven with the ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement and track costings.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, mentoring and motivating, creating a team spirit, encouraging them to be at their best.
  • You are a clear and engaging communicator, strong written and verbal English, and will use a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
  • Flexible in the way you think, making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right for our partners and the DO & CO family.
  • Have a great understanding and working knowledge of your department and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands-on approach.
  • Ideally, minimum of 5+ years experience across multiple industries including hospitality and food manufacturing.
  • Highly proficient in excel with excellent working knowledge of common accounting systems and accounting software packages.
  • Good working knowledge of USA tax, auditing, and commercial regulatory rules
