Job Description:

Head of HR – Americas

Boston, MA – Hybrid

Fintech

We are currently partnering on a search for a Head of HR with a highly successful international Fintech company, operating on a hybrid basis out of their Boston office.

Although this is an international company, the focus of this role is regional, covering the Americas.

This Fintech client currently has around 200 employees across the Americas, and this role will report to the Chief People Officer. This is a critical position as the company continues to grow. It is a true strategic partner opportunity, with the chance to make impactful contributions to the overall strategy, while still adopting a ‘roll up your sleeves' approach to executing day-to-day tasks.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with functional leaders to understand business needs and strategy, and building this into an HR strategy.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for senior managers and employees across a wide range of People & Talent matters.
  • Leading performance reviews, talent management, compensation, organizational design, etc.
  • Handling employee relations, consulting legal counsel, and the wider HR team as needed.
  • Managing a team of HR professionals and supporting their development and career growth.
  • Advising on best practices and setting standards for People & Talent functions.
  • Acting as a thought leader as the company grows, innovates, and evolves.
  • Bringing generalist knowledge across all areas within the HR function.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience leading an HR team, ideally across the Americas. Experience in a company of comparable size that has been in growth mode and undergone significant change and transformation is highly desirable.
  • Experience in fintech, tech startups, or financial services is a strong plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience across all HR areas.
  • Several years of team management experience.
  • Solid knowledge of employment law across the Americas.
  • A blend of large, best-in-class HR experience, combined with more recent experience in a mid-sized company, ideally in a regional capacity.
  • Experience working as part of a distributed team in a global context.
