Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Human Resources with a background in IRS or taxation-related environments to lead our HR department. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of HR will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, with an understanding of IRS clearance and background check procedures.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, including familiarity with IRS regulations.
  • Requirements:

  • Overall experience of 5 - 15 years in managing end to end HR domains.
  • Proven experience as an HR leader in a regulated industry, with specific experience in IRS or taxation-related environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
  • Experience within gas station industry will be preferred.
