Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus,Ohio area. Illuminate USA is seeking highly motivated team members to help the company grow from startup to a full scale, industry leading manufacturer with $1B - $2B expected annual revenue and over 1,200 employees in less than two years.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR leader for our Human Resources and Administration teams for our new factory located in the Columbus area. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources and People Officer (CHRO) and a member of the senior leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting and executing innovative HR strategies and processes. You'll oversee a team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and administrative professionals, fostering a positive work environment and driving employee engagement across the plant operations and business functions. Responsibilities

  • Lead and support plant and corporate HR partners and administrative staff to ensure strong support of production operations, people practices and programs.
  • Develop and implement HR processes and programs that align with organizational goals, enabling the most effective and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate initiatives to enhance associate skills and knowledge, fostering continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with key partners within the business and People & Culture teams to ensure that safety, wellbeing, time and attendance, engagement, total rewards and talent development are embedded into the HR practices at all levels.
  • Implement talent and total rewards strategies and processes within the plant and business functions (i.e., succession management process, performance management program, Policy Training, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and industry standards.
  • Drive initiatives to boost associate engagement, retention, and overall workplace satisfaction.
  • Promote positive associate relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, regulations, and industry standards related to safety, labor practices, and employment rights.
  • Manage HR programs and policies, continuously evaluating and refining processes to align with organizational objectives and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, minimum 3 years people leadership.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations and experienced with union and non-union environments with third party negotiations and collective bargaining a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • SHRM certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Workday experience a plus.
