Job Description:

Reporting to the COO, The Head of Human Resources is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the HR department. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies that support overall business goals, ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and providing HR support to all employees. In this hands-on tactical role, the Head of Human Resources will act as an HR Business Partner to the leadership team while interacting daily with a population of approximately 125 employees. Our client currently follows a hybrid work schedule where all employees are required to work from their Boston office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week.

Core Responsibilities
  • * Provide HR support to all employees, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • * Plan, develop, and implement HR initiatives, policies, and procedures that support business goals.
  • * Provide guidance to senior management to promote and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • * Partner with leadership to develop training programs that align with cultural and business goals, and oversee and manage all training and development programs.
  • * Represent the firm to various external stakeholders and individuals, such as clients, company affiliates, prospective employees, government agencies, etc.
  • * Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Ideal Candidate
  • * 6 to 10 years of HR-related experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • * Strong grasp of employment laws and regulations.
  • * Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • * Motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • * Team player mentality with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
  • * Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability to constantly evolving priorities and organizational needs.
  • * Hands-on experience with HR systems (ATS, HRIS, Payroll, etc.). Familiarity with Workday a bonus.
  • * Proficient with MS Office, including working with data in Excel (pivot tables, reference formulas, etc.).
