Job Description:As a member of the local Management Teams, the Head of HR is an HR Advisor to Management and the heads of each of the business units located in Omaha; Columbus, Indiana; Nebraska and Canada regarding key HR organizational and management issues. Leads Human Resources functions within multi-company organization and integrates the Group HR vision. Position enables the local organizations to recruit extraordinary talent, provide strong compensation and benefits leadership, and support a performance-based culture through strategic initiatives, performance management and learning and development programs. Within the CLAAS business/HR Global strategies, ensures the implementation of a local long-term HR strategy and plans related to HR management and organizational development.Translates strategic and tactical business plans into meaningful HR concepts. Aligns resources in order to accomplish execution.Ensures the implementation of Global HR, policies, procedures, programs of integrated HR management and organizational development to facilitate the increased performance of the Company, ensures achievement of the HR strategic goals, and reinforces its reputation on the national and external markets.Ensures the current and future budgets, and plans pertaining to HR Management, HR Marketing related activities and other functions within departmental accountabilities in order to define the required financing level and ensure the purposeful and efficient distribution of funds.Oversight of the development of recruiting and retention plans to meet the immediate and ongoing human capital needs of the organization, with a strong personal emphasis on the recruitment of Executive and key talent.Leverages expertise in compensation and commission plans in the oversight of all pay structures and benefits. Develops and implements comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are externally competitive, cost effective, internally equitable, and that support the retention of key employees.Negotiates and oversight of all Company benefits, including annual reviews of Life Insurance, Medical, Dental, and other employee benefits for multiple business entities.Mentors and guides the efforts of the HR Shared Services Team while supporting a customer-centric approach to our internal stakeholders. Establishes credibility with employees as an effective listener and active problem-solver.Consults with leadership to address organizational behavior and leadership development opportunities while coaching senior leaders on critical competencies and fostering a culture of innovation.In collaboration with Marketing, undertakes measures to improve CLAAS brand awareness and promotes the employer's image on the external market to increase the attractiveness of CLAAS as a potential employer for candidates, students, schools, and colleges.Supports the continued development of employment brand and culture that will attract next-level talent and retain business-critical employees.Ensures networks are established at colleges, trade schools, local community involvement and school systems, trade shows and through professional contacts to grow the CLAAS image and interest in a high demand employment market.SME for safety, works closely with Safety and Site Managers to identify any H&S needs and risks, working with the external H&S Consultants to ensure these are dealt with.Your profile:Bachelors' degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.5-7 years Executive Level Human Resources Management Experience, preferred.Ability to recognize the confidential nature of information and protect it.Previous close working relationship or management of an in house or out sourced payroll function.Experience of working for a large global entity, with experience of working within a global team with many cultural differences. (global matrix)Experience with SAP Success Factors, preferred.Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice, and experience of working in partnership with Health & Safety.Ability to navigate local laws and employment practices, savvy in balancing performance management and employment law.The ability to shift between different business' with micro cultures, and sometimes competing priorities.
