Location: This position may be performed remotely with travel to the Boston area as needed.The OpportunityThe Head of Market Access is responsible for building the related strategy and capabilities to support the entire Praxis portfolio. This leadership role is critical in establishing both the value and access strategy and the operations to prepare for successful launches in common and rare indications. In this dynamic role you will design, build, and lead a world class organization to ensure each asset has a compelling value proposition and is supported by both clinical and economic evidence to drive optimal access and reimbursement. We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong track record of building and implementing innovative strategies that create value for patients, healthcare professionals, payors and the company. The role will be initially focused on the US market with the launch planning for ulixacaltamide in essential tremor and subsequently expand to key international markets as the Praxis portfolio expands globally.Primary Responsibilities
  • As a member of the commercial leadership team, the Head of Market Access will play a critical role in setting the vision for and building the capabilities of the commercial organization.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the access strategy for Praxis products including value proposition, pricing and reimbursement, payor engagement, health economics, and patient access programs informed by insights and in partnership with key functions.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a team of highly skilled market access professionals responsible for a value strategy, evidence generation, national account management, government relations, patient access and reimbursement services, and pricing and contracting operations.
  • Keep company abreast and ready for the changing market access environment and policy changes.
  • Cultivate a culture of learning to improve individual and team performance; establish performance metrics and tracking.Qualifications and Key Success Factors
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree; advanced degree in business management, operations or other is highly preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience within biotech/pharmaceutical with recent focus in global market access leadership.
    • Launch experience for both common and rare indications; neuroscience experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability building high-performing teams; strong ability to engage and motivate people and have the managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions.
    • Innovative and disruptive mindset
    • Possesses both strategic and operational mindset with the ability to see the big picture and bring a strong attention to detail
    • Demonstrates a high level of intellectual curiosity, innovation and creative problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit; can thrive in an Agile environment
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop important relationships that include trust and encourage diversity in all its forms
