What are we looking for?The Head of Mindfulness is a passionate leader responsible for shaping and overseeing the development of BetterSleep's meditation and overall mental wellness initiatives. This position plays a key rolein producing content, creating strategy, executing on content production and partnerships, and evangelizing our mission externally to deliver life-changing experiences for users while championing the importance of mental health.This role blends deep expertise in guided content development and project management. The Head of Mindfulness will report to the Head of Product Experience and Content and partner closely with the Manager of Creative Content and Strategy, working cross-functionally with stakeholders in content, product, support, and design teams to bring impactful content to life, ensuring that BetterSleep continues to lead the way in the wellness space.Key Responsibilities
- Guided Content Leadership, Strategy, and Planning: Lead the development and strategy of BetterSleep's wellness content slate, including guided content across a variety of formats, ensuring content is rooted in evidence-based practices and aligns with BetterSleep's core mission of promoting mental well-being.
- Content Production and Recording Guided Content: Own the end-to-end process for regularly recorded content in your field of expertise to ensure that BetterSleep's offerings are fresh, engaging, and aligned with the needs of our community.
- Stakeholder Management and Project Management: Coordinate internal stakeholders and manage BetterSleep's external network of freelance meditation experts and wellness content creators. This includes recruiting, briefing, coordinating, and providing feedback on produced content to ensure high-quality and consistent output.
- Measurement & Impact: Develop metrics and KPIs to track the success and impact of mindfulness programs. Continuously assess user engagement, satisfaction, and overall effectiveness, using data-driven insights to refine and improve offerings.
- Partnership Support: Support the Manager of Creative Content and Strategy to execute on creative and innovative partnerships that reinforce BetterSleep's position as a leader in the meditation space.
- External Thought Leadership: Position BetterSleep as an authority in the wellness space by sharing insights and thought leadership on the benefits of meditation and mental well-being.
- Community Engagement: Engage with BetterSleep's growing community of users, advocates, and customers to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback.Key Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in content production, operations, or project management with a strong track record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
- Extensive expertise in wellness content, including different meditation techniques and a deep understanding of the science behind meditation.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving content strategy at a senior level.
- Excellent public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Track record of working in the content or health-tech space, with experience creating scalable, impactful programs for a global audience.
- Passionate advocate for mental health and well-being.
- Experience working collaboratively across organizations; strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
