Description

At Verily, we aim to revolutionize the landscape of evidence generation in order to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day. This involves aligning products that support clinical research and those that support virtual care management closer together, with deep patient, member, and participant engagement.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Head of Product, Growth will play a key role in defining, developing, and supporting the commercialization and scaling of Verily's growth products (Platform, Wastewater), influencing all aspects of the technology and product development lifecycles. Product strategy, life cycle management, pricing, competitive positioning, and roadmap execution are critical for this role. A key element of this role is interfacing with stakeholders across Verily including Leadership, Engineering, Commercial, Scientific and Medical, and other product managers as well as with external customer, vendor, and partner companies.

Possible locations of the role are South San Francisco, CA or Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Define a winning strategic vision, value proposition and roadmap for growth products, including Platform, WasteWater, and other precision health solutions, aligning with Verily's mission and identifying unique opportunities for differentiation and market leadership.
  • Empower and guide a high-performing PM team to achieve product goals, foster a collaborative environment, and develop individual potential to drive innovation and success.
  • Lead the entire product development process, from ideation to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize requirements that deeply resonate with and delight customers.
  • Own outcomes for ambiguous problems, taking responsibility for both execution and direction of projects in support of product strategy.
  • Synthesize research, market gaps, and technical insights into compelling narratives to support product decisions and direction, including defining critical marketing claims, evidence generation strategy, pricing, and business models.
  • Provide deep knowledge of users, market, competition, user insights, and technologies relevant to the product or solution area.
  • Gather insights from data, trends, and end users, ensuring customer needs are met through iterative development and establishing metrics to measure impact and ROI.
  • Build consensus and lead cross-functional teams to execute on the product roadmap, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality and clinical validation.
  • Deeply understand and prioritize customer and buyer needs, translating them into product requirements and ensuring the product delivers differentiated value and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to improving and sustaining Verily's culture and operations, making it a better workplace.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product management
  • Proven track record in commercializing and scaling SaaS products for healthcare companies, including managing regulatory challenges
  • Experience managing and leading a product team.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with solutions as products.
  • Comfort and experience with entrepreneurial/startup environments.
  • Hands-on technical and commercial experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $230,000 - $306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
