Job Description:

Pemberton and Associates is partnering with Bangor Savings Bank, 7X winner of the JD power Award for New England Banks, to recruit a Head of Product Management.

The Head of Product Management is responsible for overseeing and supporting the Product Management team as they plan and execute products throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures that all products align with the companys overall strategy and goals. The Head of Product reports to the Chief Innovation Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Guidance and Support:

  • Collaborates closely with the Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) to guide and support the Banks strategic projects and initiatives via the Banks Fintech.
  • Works with the Product Management team to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for each product and meets regularly to discuss and track performance.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Mentors and supports an inexperienced Product Management team, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Works collaboratively with HR on all tasks necessary to manage the Product team.

Product Management Execution:

  • Ensures the Product Management team adheres to best practices in managing retail products, including retail deposits and related services, payment cards, digital banking, and money movement solutions.
  • Oversees the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to retirement, ensuring products meet market needs and company goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and cross-functional team members to align product strategies with business objectives.
  • Coordinates cross-organizational and external resources to achieve product and project goals.

Third-Party Service Provider Management:

  • Assists with the active management of third-party service partnerships, providing escalation support, issue resolution and monitoring.

Data and Market Analytics:

  • Champions the use of data and market analytics to inform product decisions and strategies.
  • Works with the Product Management team to leverage data insights for continuous product improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Takes initiative on tasks and looks for ways to improve products and processes.
