If yes, then we would be delighted to have you join us!This position can be based in Washington DC area,Texas, Illinois, California or Minnesota.You will be travelling around 30% of your time throughout the US/Canada.Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.What you will doAs Head of Public Policy for the US and Canada, you will: Lead on the circular economy, food systems, and climate policy in key US States as assignedBuild and maintain solid relationships with key decision makers, local stakeholders and strategic partners in key statesMonitor and escalate key sustainability, food, trade, digital, and other relevant policy developments working with our associations, customers and other partnersCraft and implement policy advocacy strategy at the state level related to food packaging and processing industry, packaging waste, climate and food and support the federal US and Canada outreach as necessary.Raise the profile of Tetra Pak and the beverage cartons industry among decision makers and establish our industry's positioning in key statesDevelop and maintain policy trackers and stakeholder lists for necessary processes of internal reportingBrief and manage our state-based consultants and lobbyists.Join a truly global team of Government Relations and Public Affairs professionals focused on being a leader in the food and beverage industryWork closely with our sustainability, communications, legal and market operations teamsInteract with our business units' leaders and advise on the major policy challenges and opportunities in the US and Canada as the two major markets for Tetra Pak Be given myriad opportunities for personal and professional growthBe awarded, rewarded and recognized for your hard workWe believe you haveAt least 4-5 years of US state policy work, including lobbying or government affairs experience – ideally dealing with Capitol Hill and Federal agencies as well.Previous experience in a similar industry (food and beverage, packaging or another highly regulated industries) would be an advantageExcellent command of written and spoken English and impeccable writing skillsDeveloped a sense of executive communications and sensitivity toward multicultural environment and teamsA pristine record of compliance with regulations and good governance when it comes to lobbying and policy advocacyA true passion for sustainability and food policyExtensive experience in the food and beverage packaging supply systemPay EquityTetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
