PositionMIO's IT team is an innovative group that strives to positively impact investors through technology implementation focused on MIO's various functions. The group utilizes Agile methodology to ensure efficient implementation of systems that provide highimpact to MIO's business users.
The Head of Quality Assurance will play a pivotal role in developing and executing effective testing strategies and test plans for various MIO IT applications. The new hire should be highly skilled in Python for QA automation, among other critical skills, to spearhead efforts in enhancing the performance, efficiency, and user experience of our MIO IT application landscape. As an integral part of a small team of in-house and outsourced developers and testers, this individual will be primarily responsible for assessing software quality through manual and automated testing, creating and executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs and glitches, and ensuring our products, applications, and systems meet user expectations and function flawlessly. The ideal candidate will work closely with all QA team members, IT leaders, and architects to discuss, design, and implement quality processes and practices.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThe preferred candidate will have extensive experience testing Cloud-based AWS web and desktop applications, including data-driven API testing. A strong background in automation technologies, especially within financial services, is highly desirable. However, candidates with robust technology qualifications from outside financial services will also be considered. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can operate in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and learn and implement new technologies.
This role should integrate seamlessly with the MIO QA strategy by emphasizing smart quality principles and advanced analytics for predictive quality management while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Collaboration across departments and with external partners will be crucial to achieving a holistic QA approach that drives value and competitive advantage.
Salary InformationA reasonable estimate of the range for new joiners for this role in the United States is $190,000-$190,000. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's assigned office location, experience, and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to MIO's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
