Seeking a Senior Risk Manager for our client, an online Brokerage firm.
About the Role - Your role will be to oversee the firm's risk management framework, work closely with the executive team to develop and implement risk strategies and identify, assess, and mitigate risks which may impact the firm's operations
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and risk appetite.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization, including financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain risk management policies and procedures.
- Provide regular risk reports to the executive team, highlighting key risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the development and implementation of an enterprise risk management framework to integrate risk management practices across all business units and functions.
- Oversee the development and execution of crisis management and business continuity plans to ensure organizational resilience.
- Lead and develop the risk management team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate computation of firm financials, oversee timely filing of regulatory reports while adhering to industry net capital requirements and related rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, risk management, or a related field required.
- Ideally an advanced degree or professional certification such as CRMP, CFA, FRM is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or related roles within the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (online brokerage experience highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies and frameworks.
- FINRA licenses highly recommended 7,24 or 27.
- A preference would be to have Chinese language skills.
