The Position

The Head of School is charged with the responsibility of the efficient and effective operation of the school by the FCS Board of Directors. The Head of School and administrative team handle the day-to-day operations, while a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees provides accountability and oversight concerning the mission and policies of the school.

The Head is responsible for all aspects of student life, parent participation, facilities, faculty, and staff.

Florida Christian School's next leader must be a committed, mature Christian who understands Christian education and has a track record of accomplishment in that field. Additionally, this leader must be committed to academic excellence, understand the operational aspects of running a student body of nearly 1,200 students, have strong executive management skills, make effective key hires, carefully manage change, have experience in cultivating donors, and communicate to inspire trust and confidence.

There are currently 12 administrators and leadership staff, including the Elementary Principal, Middle School Principal, High School Principal, Director of ESE, Director of Admissions, Athletic Director, Director of Advancement, Director of Human Resources, Head of Security & Dean of Students, Custodial Manager, and I.T. Manager. The Head of School will oversee this passionate leadership team and ensure that they have the resources and support they need to thrive.
