Head of Tax, DirectorKey Role:

Serve as the Director of Tax for Booz Allen Hamilton and lead the global tax department. Manage tax matters and develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities, support business growth, and oversee compliance across our global operations. Identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization in various regions, including transfer pricing, tax incentives, and international tax planning. Oversee compliance with all tax laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where BAH operates. Lead, mentor, collaborate with, and develop the team of outside tax professionals serving BAH, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments, including Legal, Finance, Corporate Development, Business Finance, FP&A functions, and Operations to ensure a cohesive approach to tax matters.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience with global taxation, including progressively responsible roles in a multinational corporation or tax consulting firm
  • Experience in building relationships with tax authorities in various jurisdictions, representing the company during tax audits or negotiations, navigating tax disputes, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify tax issues, opportunities, and upcoming tax legislation to ensure our business strategy can be achieved
  • Ability to convey complex tax concepts to leadership in various functional areas, including C-suite executives and Investor Relations
  • Ability to oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, foreign, and local tax returns, estimates, and extensions
  • Ability to review the Company's quarterly and annual accounting income tax provision, including related financial statement disclosures and internal controls
  • Ability to work closely with external advisors and advise Corporate Development on tax issues related to M&A and strategic investments
  • Ability to display excellent ethical values and commitment to compliance and integrity
  • Bachelor's degree in Taxation, Finance, Accounting, or Business
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with federal government contractor
  • Possession of excellent management and leadership skills in both in-house and outsourced environments
  • Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree
  • CPA License preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $158,800.00 to $295,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Work Model:
