Key Responsibilities:
Consistently analyze the root causes of trading issues and facilitate their resolution.
Lead the continuous improvement process by identifying potential problems and finding ways to increase efficiency.
Oversee the design, testing, and deployment of algorithmic trading strategies across various asset classes, ensuring minimal market impact.
Monitor real-time trading activity to identify and address any issues or inefficiencies in execution. Track execution quality, including slippage, latency, and other key metrics.
Ensure that all trading activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including monitoring for market abuse and other compliance issues.
Lead the development and execution of the company's technology strategy to support its trading operations, including infrastructure, software development, data management, and cybersecurity.
Ensure a steady flow of well-defined business requirements for improving setups and the trading platform, both for immediate needs and long-term strategic goals.
Act as a communication hub, ensuring seamless integration between traders, technical specialists, risk management, compliance, and product teams.
Maintain team functionality and support high levels of effectiveness. Serve as the central point of contact for traders on organizational matters, allowing them to focus exclusively on trading.
Develop, implement, and optimize trading workflows and procedures, leveraging modern technologies and tools to automate processes.
Guarantee the uninterrupted operation of trading strategies from technological and organizational perspective.
Organize and conduct on-boarding for new traders, ensuring their quick and effective integration. Provide organizational mentorship and coaching within the team.
Coordinate actions and exchange information with the leader responsible for trading strategies and PnL.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Experience working as a trader preferred.
Strong technical background.
Solid understanding of the fundamental principles and practices of electronic trading.
Experience in managerial or coordinating roles within the e-trading domain.
Experience in interacting with technological functions that support trading.
Experience in management of a department, business unit, or division at an quant/algo trading
firm (prop or hedge fund).
Strong skills in people and process management.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Strong multi-tasking skills
