Humans are essential in providing the best training data for these models, and Scale operates the largest network of humans in the world to provide this training data.As the Head of Training, you will be responsible for ensuring that the contributors on our tasking platform are as effective, efficient, and capable as possible. This is one of the most critical functions at the company, and you will report to the Head of Quality Operations. Our taskers include both domain experts (PhDs, Master's students, etc.) and “generalists” (typically high-school or college grads).The role involves a combination of strategic thinking, data analysis, roll-up-your-sleeves operations, and engagement with our contributors and operations team. You will be responsible for iterating on our training curriculum, designing and refining our training materials, and owning north-star metrics on content and contributor quality. The ideal candidate can create excellent training content, has a strong entrepreneurial mindset, and is comfortable leading a team and working with them under ambiguity.Responsibilities Include:Investigate the most pressing challenges with tasking + the most common errors our contributors make and whyDesign and build a curriculum to teach our contributors how to produce great tasksLead a team of 2-3 people to develop materials, run live training sessions, and other creative ways of teaching taskersEmpower operators across the org to create high-quality content tailored to their projects, and support individual project trainings when neededCollaborate with Product and Engineering to build an impactful training experience for contributorsOwn north-star metrics on content quality and contributor learning, and quickly iterate / test out new approachesWho We're Looking For:10+ years of experience in EdTech product, content strategy, and/or instructional designProven track record for designing curriculums and building best-in-class contentExperience leading and mentoring a teamA high ownership individual who is comfortable navigating ambiguityA relentless attitude of testing and iteratingPlease reference the job posting's subtitle for where this position will be located.
