Responsibilities
UnderthesupervisionoftheDirectorofAthletics,theHead Softball Coach willsupporttheDirectorofAthleticsandtheSoftball Programbyorganizing,coordinating,andpromotinga comprehensiveprogram ofsoftballinstructionthatisdesignedtomeettheneedsandinterestofthecommunity,NCAA,andtheCIAA.Thispositionwillalsomaintainagoodworkingrelationshipwithalumnirelations.ThispositionreportstotheDirectorofAthletics.
SPECIFICDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIALJOBFUNCTIONS
The Head Softball Coach will manage and supervise the softball program.
Recruits and maintains specific roster sizes for the softball program.
Monitors, assists, and nurtures student-athletes' academic progress toward graduation at the college and assists with placement at four-year colleges and universities.
Theindividualwillberesponsibleforassigningdutiesandresponsibilitiestoassistantcoaches.
Coordinatingtheissuance,careandinventoryofequipment,supplies,anduniforms.Purchasingequipment,suppliesanduniforms.
Create filed maintenance plan for softball field in season/out of season
Developing the annual budget. Schedule matches and officials.
Superviseathletesatalltimesfrom thetimepracticeoractivitystartsuntilitisover.Coordinatethesecurityofallfacilitiesusedbytheteamandcoachingstaff.
Submitcertifiedrosters,awardforms,seasonrecords,inventoryforms,transportationsrequests,travelauthorizationrequests,travelexpensereports,requisitionsandotherformsrequiredbytheAthleticdirector.
Ensure the proper completions of physical examinations forms relating to the examinations and to coordinate injuries with the training staff.
Coordinate the distribution, collection, storage of athletic uniforms.
Conduct and handle recruitment of athletes.
Be responsible for awards presentations at awards programs.
