Head Track Coach for Men & WomenPOSITION SUMMARYHuston-Tillotson University is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Track Coach for both men's and women's track teams. The Head Track Coach will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the track program in alignment with NAIA rules and regulations, ensuring the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for track athletes to maximize their physical and mental performance.
- Conduct regular practice sessions, track meets, and training camps.
- Analyze athletes' performance and provide individualized training adjustments.
- Promote good sportsmanship, academic excellence, and personal growth among athletes.
- Identify and recruit talented student-athletes in compliance with NAIA and university guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school coaches, club coaches, and prospective student-athletes.
- Organize and coordinate campus visits for recruits.
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the track program including scheduling, budgeting, travel arrangements, and equipment needs.
- Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and coordinate support services when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all NAIA, conference, and university rules and regulations.
- Represent Huston-Tillotson University at conferences, community events, and other public engagements.
- Encourage community support and involvement in the track program.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for coaching staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Proven track record of coaching success at the collegiate or high school level.
- In-depth knowledge of track & field events and training methodologies.
- Experience with recruitment and development of student-athletes.
- Familiarity with NAIA rules and regulations preferred.

- This position reports to the Director of Intercollegiate Sports
SALARY RANGE
- $50,000 annually, plus benefits!
