The season begins on February 19th and concludes with a final regular-season contest on May 12th. The season could be extended depending on ranking within the New York State Association of Independent Schools Playoffs (championship game is May 21st). Weekday practices run from 3:30-5:45 with contests taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Riverdale is fortunate to be one of the few New York City independent schools to be able to practice and compete on an on-campus stadium-sized synthetic field. The head lacrosse coach will oversee most aspects of the program while managing an established staff of three assistant coaches. Previous high school or collegiate coaching experience is a must with special consideration given to those individuals with previous head coaching experience. The candidate must be able to fuse technical and tactical aspects of the game toward a level of success that is representative of the student-athlete potential while creating a physically safe and psychologically supportive environment.Expectations/ Requirements

    • CDC Heads Up Concussion On-Line Course
    • Current and/or updated Physical Exam
    • Pre-employment background check and fingerprinting required
$5,000 - $10,000 one-timeSalary is commensurate with experience.As a part-time employee, coaches are not eligible for full-time benefits at Riverdale Country School.
