Prior Football Coaching experience is required ? Indiana Teaching License (encouraged, but not required) ? Commitment to excellence for the entire program ? High level of moral and professional character Essential Duties &; Responsibilities: ? Oversee the Frankfort Schools Football program at all levels ? Lead and mentor coaching staff across high school, middle school, and youth program. ? Work with the AD in selecting coaching members ? Work with the AD to develop the basketball schedule needed for the program ? Work cooperatively and develop rapport with administration, teachers, coaching staff, players, parents, and community members. ? Model leadership, sportsmanship, and appropriate behavior to student-athletes ? Support and attend other school functions to demonstrate solidarity with all FHS programs ? Complete all NFHS/IHSAA coaches' education certifications ? Follow MAC, IHSAA, NFHS, and IFCA guidelines and procedures ? Promote athlete participation in multiple sports and school activities ? Comply with all aspects of the coaching handbook ? Develop integrity within the coaching staff and fellow coaches ? Foster initiative, self-discipline, teamwork, loyalty, courage, leadership, and commitment to excellence for Frankfort Athletics ? Communicate with individual/team about goals, performance, and progress ? Develop and maintain a healthy, competitive, and rewarding environment ? Instruct individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sports involved ? Organize, plan, and schedule a regular program of practice in and out of season ? Maintain an accurate roster and verify the academic and athletic eligibility of athletes ? Communicate and work with the athletic trainer and parents involving injuries ? Monitor the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that athletes are present ? Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual athletes ? Develop a consistent and positive public communication procedure through the school and media to inform the parents and the general public about the basketball program ? Exhibit acceptable personal conduct and appearance before, during, and after the game.
