Duties
Mendota High School is accepting applications for the Head Varsity Football Coach position. Candidates of choice will develop present and future players. The Head Coach will work with local feeder programs to promote the sport of football. The Head coach is responsible for leading six paid assistant coaches and additional volunteers. As numbers warrant, there is a freshman football team, sophomore football team, and varsity football team to compete in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC).
Qualifications
Candidate of choice should be willing to start in late spring/early summer 2025 for summer schedule. The coach must also be willing to serve as the liaison between the school district, local media, feeder districts, feeder organizations, and booster organizations. Prior experience as a football coach is preferred. Consideration will be given to previous player experience. IHSA and ASEP training must be completing before coaching begins, or Illinois Teaching Licensure.
Salary/Benefits
Rate of pay-Per Association Contract, Head Football Coach was paid $6,456 for the 2024-2025 school year.
