Contacts the school nurse in case of major illness or serious injury. Health aide will be trained and validated on their skills by their supervising RN. Confers with the school nurse regarding student's absences for health related reasons. Communicates with teachers and other school personnel regarding students seen in the health office. Initiates health records on all new students. Assists in distribution and collection of health information forms. Documents student's visits to the health office and maintains work log according to school health services' policies and procedures. Prepares reports and other documents as required or assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
