Nature of Work
As a Health & Human Resources Specialist Senior (HHR Spec Sr) for the Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH), this position is responsible for coordination and management of statewide substance use disorder (SUD) programming. Under general supervision, this position performs advanced administrative level work by providing complex technical assistance and oversight of statewide substance use disorder (SUD) recovery support services. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the development and management of a statewide system of recovery that bridges the gap between treatment and long-term recovery; the coordination and development of grantee relationships and provision of technical assistance to promote successful project implementation; research, development and monitoring programs and practices that promote community-based recovery resource development; act as a resource liaison within the department to assist the community with complex individual recovery support services; coordination of evidence-based practices; perform grantee monitoring and oversight; develop and monitor statewide systems for tracking and reporting recovery support services; promote overdose prevention and low barrier access to recovery support services; ensure the existence of a robust array of recovery services and supports for individuals, families, and communities; promote resilience and emotional health with evidence-based SUD services and supports, including supports for people reentering the community from incarceration; promote peer-based coaching and mentoring, and expand peer-based recovery support services throughout the state. The duties of this position include program management and coordination of recovery support services. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for statewide recovery support services. This position requires collaboration as part of an integrated SUD team and may require statewide travel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Training:Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience:Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.

Other Information
Preference may be shown to applicants with a working knowledge and experience in behavioral health, grant writing, and with additional education in a related field.
Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for the required training and experience.
