GovGig is seeking a highly qualified Health and Safety Manager.
The Part-time onsite safety and health professional MUST be onsite no less than one full working day, per calendar month, and their authorities, duties, and responsibilities are:
Shall NOT be supervised by the onsite superintendent, but shall report directly to the corporate manager/owner.
Shall have full authorization to correct unsafe acts on the spot, including the authority to stop work to correct safety and health problems.
Shall participate in the planning, preparation and execution of high-risk activities including, but not limited to:
Development and approval of JHA.
Review of equipment and materials.
Employee training.
Review of JHA with employees.
Observing and reporting on activities.
May act as the qualified person for supervising erection and accepting final configuration and perform daily checks of fall protection, excavation, and scaffolding systems in accordance with the regulatory standards.
Inspect the site with a government representative listing noted deficiencies, their abatement dates, and follow up action. The report shall be available for review onsite.
Attend the Safety Program Review Meeting and Conduct the monthly Joint Safety Policy Meetings in accordance with the RSHS section 3.
Their qualifications are:
Possessing at least a 4-year Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in:
Safety Engineering,
Safety and Occupational Health,or
Industrial Hygiene(IH)
Registered Professional Safety Engineer, Certified Safety Professional(CSP), or CIH certified by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals /American Board of Industrial
Knowledgeable of current safety trends, industry practices, and can exercise technical expertise in activities listed in 1.05B.3.
